Extra Curricular Activities of Institution
To develop all-round professional skills, attitude, critical thinking and team spirit, students are involved in a wide range of activities:
- Actively participating in SNA activities like cultural programmes, debates, competitions, etc.
- Celebrating college fests, fresher's welcome & farewell events.
- Organizing Annual Sports & Picnic.
- Celebration of special days like Lamp Lighting Ceremony and Nurses Day.
- Celebration of National Days of India.
- Organizing & attending free Community Health Camps.
- Participating in health awareness campaigns like World AIDS Day, Breastfeeding Week, World Hypertension Day, etc.
Hostel Rules and Regulations
All inmates of the hostel should get acquainted with these rules and regulations and observe them strictly.
General Rules
- Hostel accommodation is optional.
- Any information and instruction for the students will be displayed on the hostel notice board. Students are expected to look for such notices daily, read them carefully, and take appropriate action.
- Inmates of the hostel are responsible for their own belongings; money and other valuable items should be kept under lock and key. The management is not responsible for any loss whatsoever.
- Students are not permitted to shift to another room other than the one assigned to them. The warden may reallocate rooms as found necessary at any time during the course.
- Students cannot keep mobiles inside the classroom and during ward duty.
- Study hours should be observed quietly in their own room or in the study room, and none should visit other students or friends during study time.
- Any damage to the hostel, institution, or hospital property will be compensated by the students.
Meal Time
Students should be punctual for meals.

Dining Hall Etiquette & Rules:
- Students should not absent themselves from meals without prior intimation.
- All students will be present as per the given time.
- No maxi or night dresses are allowed in the dining hall.
- Meals should be taken only in the dining hall. Students are not permitted to carry food items to the bedroom or any place outside the dining hall.
- Wastage of food is not allowed.
- No special meal will be served unless specific instructions are given by the teacher / Hostel Superintendent / Warden (in case of sickness).
Cleanliness
- Hostel rooms and their premises are to be kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Sanitary napkins should never be disposed of in the water closet. They should be wrapped in paper and thrown into the dustbin.
- All dry and semi-dry waste should be disposed of in an appropriate container/bin.
Hostel Properties
- Lights, fans, and ACs should be switched off when not in use and before leaving the room.
- Students are not permitted to use electrical appliances like kettles, irons, heaters, etc. other than those supplied by the college.
- In case of any damage done to hostel property, movable or immovable, the cost will be borne by the student(s) concerned.
- Shifting of furniture from one room to another is not allowed.
Sickness and Healthcare
- Illness should be reported to the Warden, Hostel Superintendent, and respective teacher immediately.
- Students on sick leave are not allowed to go out but may see relatives in the visitor's room with the warden's permission, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Students must attend the night roll call at 7:00 p.m. at the visitor room, and at 9:00 p.m. for evening shift students.
Dress Code
- Proper uniform must be worn for clinical duty.
- Students must not borrow any article or money from a patient, hospital official, or co-worker, and must not accept any gift or money from patients or their relatives.
Visitors
- Visitors are allowed daily from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., except when students are on duty, and on Sundays between 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Visitors are entertained in the visiting room only.
- No visitor is allowed inside the bedroom or any other room.
- No visitor will be allowed in the hostel rooms.
- Students are not allowed to meet visitors in the hospital wards.
Out Pass & Home Permission
- Student nurses should maintain a diary/register to record their outside movement, authenticated by the proper authority.
- If a student nurse's work or conduct is found unsatisfactory, she may be discharged after three notices.
- Extra leave will not be granted to any student unless there is a genuine emergency.
- Before going home, permission from the Principal / Vice-Principal / Coordinator should be obtained by each student at least one day prior.
- On return from home, the parent/guardian should enter the details with their signature in the register.

Prevention of Ragging
Ragging is a harmful and unacceptable practice in which senior students subject newcomers to various forms of physical, mental or emotional harassment. Ragging is totally banned in this institution.
Goals of the Institution
- To prevent any physical or mental torture, or any disorderly conduct towards any student causing apprehension, humiliation, or agitation in her.
- To prevent any form of ragging on and off the campus.
Punishable Ingredients of Ragging (as per UGC)
- Abetment to ragging
- Criminal conspiracy to rag
- Unlawful assembly and rioting while ragging
- Public nuisance created during ragging
- Violation of decency and morals through ragging
- Injury to body, causing hurt or grievous hurt
- Wrongful restraint and wrongful confinement
- Use of criminal force and assault, including sexual or unnatural offences
- Extortion and criminal trespass
- Offences against property
- Criminal intimidation
Punishments (as per UGC)
- Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges
- Withholding or withdrawing scholarship, fellowship, and other benefits
- Debarring from appearing in any test, examination, or other evaluation process
- Withholding of results
- Suspension or expulsion from the hostel
- Cancellation of admission
- Rustication from the institution for a period ranging from 1 to 4 semesters
- Expulsion from the institution, with debarment from admission to any other institution for a specified period
- Fine ranging between ₹25,000 and ₹1 lakh
- Collective punishment, where individuals committing or abetting ragging are not identified
Measures for Prevention of Ragging
- Ragging in all its forms is totally banned across the entire institution.
- The institution strictly observes the provisions of Central and State Government Acts to take strict action against those found guilty of ragging or abetting ragging.
- An Anti-Ragging Committee and squad monitor all anti-ragging measures and disseminate information widely so students can seek help in emergencies.
- Joint sensitisation programmes are organised for freshers and seniors.
- A printed leaflet and brochure with guidelines, contact numbers, and address is distributed to every new student, along with an undertaking not to indulge in or abet ragging.
- A full-time warden is accessible at all hours.
- After admission, an online Anti-Ragging Undertaking is obtained from every student as per UGC instructions, so they are aware of the prohibition on ragging and its punishment.
